There are a few things to consider when sealing walkway pavers. You need to consider what type of sealer you should use. There are three types of sealers:
Water-based-Water-based sealers are the most environmentally friendly and best choice for unsealed pavers.
Solvent-based-Solvent-based sealers provide the deepest penetration into the paver and are the best choice for heavily used areas.
Oil-based-Oil-based sealers provide the highest level of protection from weather and wear and tear but require more maintenance than other sealers.
Another consideration is how often to seal pavers. Sealing pavers every two to three years is sufficient to protect them from the elements and keep them looking good. However, if pavers are subject to heavy use, they may need to be sealed more often.
When sealing walkway pavers, it is essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully. Ensure to clean the pavers thoroughly before applying the sealer and allow the sealer to dry completely before walking on the pavers or allowing any traffic on them.
